Monday’s Suck

After work I took the scenic route home that ran through Alice’s and dropped me off at Crystal Spring’s Reservoir. Before hoping onto the freeway home, I made time for a quick time lapse.

A Muni Bus Almost Killed Me!

On my way home from work I almost got killed by Muni bus, who would had thought? For the record if you were wondering, yes, I was speeding. However speeding or not, that Muni driver could had been paying better attention.

Riding in the city, whether it is on a bicycle or motorcycle, is dangerous as one has to look out for all the moving hazards on the road such as: taxi drivers speeding and cutting through traffic, the Uber and Lyft drivers that are paying attention to their app rather than the road, the pedestrians that have ‘the right of way’ and put their life at risk by ignoring the oncoming traffic. Then there is Muni. For the most Muni busses and trains are not an issue. In fact I feel that the tracks for the trains and people running after their bus prove to be more dangerous than the busses themselves.

To my surprised the #18 Muni bus driver did not notice me one bit, even with all honking as I was doing (but honestly a squeak from a mouse is much louder). There I was with no outs as the bus blocked out my chances of going right, and then there was an oncoming jeep that eliminated the left side. In a situation like this with no outs, I had the choice to either slow down or go faster. At first I tried to slow down but I immediately felt that if I squeezed harder on the hand brakes and pushed down some more on the foot brakes that I would lose total control. In fact, you can hear the tires a skid a bit from downshifting. I said fuck it let off the brakes and just cruised. Judging the speed of the bus, my own speed, and the space that I had to squeeze between the jeep and the bus, I knew that the fit was going to be tight! Once I got past the bus, I let the driver know how I felt.

I’m not  going to lie, I was going to pull a Rev Bomb and bust the bus’s sideview mirror! I balled my hand into a fist and cocked my arm back but couldn’t find mirror in such a short period of time, plus I was focusing on the road in front of me. If it were a car that mirror would had been gone but since the vehicle was a bus, that mirror gets to live another day.

The Muni bus driver is not totally at fault and I do hope that who ever they are, that they don’t get fired if SFMTA see’s my video. And I’m not saying that all the blame lies with me for speeding. We were both at fault, it takes two to tango. We just need to learn from this experience and move on.

At the end of the day, I’m just glad I didn’t die, crashed, or totaled my bike from this accident that didn’t happen. And thank you to that jeep for giving me more space to breathe. Anyway, ride safe and ride your ride.

P.S. I’m starting a podcast….

Monthly Motovlogger Community Challenge | MCC #3

Every month GoatFather, an inspirational motovlogger, challenges the motovlogging community with a monthly challenge.

This monthly challenge was to talk about a motovlogger that has had an impact on my life and that person is Motordadcle. Motodadcle has reignited my photo bug and got out to ride at night for some night shots. Check out his channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/motordadcle

After reading the details on the contest, it seems that I missed the dead line.. Darn… And on top of that, my GoPro was recording at 720p, not 1080p…

Anyway instead of letting the video go to waste, I decided to go ahead and publish it.

Enjoy!

Not Having The Right Tools

We always want the best tools at our disposal to produce a quality product, in this case it is having the right tools to motovlog, however we don’t always have the means. This vlog post isn’t a how to, rather a self understanding of having a video standard to producing motovlogs with the tools that I have.

Life After The Super Bowl, And Dieting

This is a late post that should had went up a week or two ago. Anyway, here it is: Life After The Super Bowl, and dieting…

Girlfriend said since the festivities of the holidays and Super Bowl are now over, it is time to watch what food we eat, get on a diet, and exercise. Sigh… The life of a motovlogger ain’t easy. Let’s start the diet off with a Five Guys Burger, yum!

Working Two Jobs

Working two jobs and keeping sane is not easy while living in San Francisco. Then add hobbies such as having a motovlog, riding a motorcycle in the bay area, and having time to have a personal life with friends and family. Yep, life ain’t all that easy being on the grind and getting paid.

NFC Playoffs

AZ Cards

Sunday Night Football between the Arizona Cardinals and Carolina Panthers was a tough one to watch, if one was a Cardinal fan. Which I am, and still a die hard Cardinal fan. As embarrassing it was to watch my Cards get their asses handed to them by the Panthers, I still love my team. Even with the sour ending, thank you Arizona for a great season. Through thick and think, till death do us part, I’ll always bleed red.

Living In The Fast Lane | 2015

Now that we are towards the end of January, I can reflect at 2015 as a year of fun on two wheels, hell there were times when I was living in the fast lane. I hit a stupid fast personal best top speed of 168 mph, rode a slew of different kinds of motorcycles; from Harley Davidson’s Sportsters and Dynas to Suzuki’s, Triumphs, and even a Can Am Spyder. Since I live in the wonderful San Francisco Bay Area, I had the opportunity to ride year round from the FREEZING December weather to scorching 100 degree weather. Rode with friends and family throughout the Bay from Stinson Beach to Alison’s and Four Corners to Angel’s Camp. Had one too many close calls while splitting lanes to riding with a friend that low sided. 2015 gave me a solid year of riding under my belt while at the same time gives me excitement as to what 2016 will bring. I leave with you below a video montage of my 2015 year. See you out there on the streets and ride safe.

Rainbow Six Siege

In the late 90’s, or pre 9/11, I was introduced to the game called Rainbow Six by my uncle. This was the first game where I learned how to hack a game and edit the various stages and scenarios by determining how many enemies there would be, dictating the path that they would roam, how sensitive they are to noise and movement, and their level of difficulty. There would be many nights of little to no sleep as I would spend hours customizing scenarios then sharing and playing the scenario with the wonderful online community.  Ever since then the brand Rainbow Six has held a special places in my heart.

Fast forward to today we have the hundredth iteration to the game under the title Rainbow Six Siege. One big difference about the game is that there ain’t a story online and it is purely a PVP and PVE (scenario/terrorist hunt) game.

Taking tactics to the next level with Rainbow Six Siege Whiteboard

There are a slew of FPS games out there but what draws me to the game is that it is a much slower paced game than others, especially since each player has a single life per round. There is so much great things going for the game that I can talk about this game however what irks me is that Ubisoft servers are horrible, too many dropped matches… Check out this communication thread between my brother and the Support team.

My Ideas - 2.png

Sigh… Below is my rant on the game, just the thought of writing about the experience is depressing. With that said, I still love Rainbow Six Siege… Odd, right?
